Watch J-Hope, Miguel Showcase ‘Sweet Dreams’ on ‘Fallon’

J-Hope stopped by The Tonight Show to perform his new single “Sweet Dreams” alongside Miguel. The pair took the stage for the collaborative, dreamy track, which sees them sharing vocals over a soulful beat.
The BTS member and solo artist debuted the song earlier this month. It marked J-Hope’s first return to music following his discharge from mandatory military for South Korea’s army. The singer began teasing the track with snippets from the music video and first-look pictures from the video shoot in February.
J-Hope sat down with host Jimmy Fallon to discuss his return to music, how the BTS ARMY inspired “Sweet Dreams,” and who he hopes to collaborate with next.
“Miguel is an artist I’ve respected very much since I was a kid,” J-Hope told Fallon of his new single. “I’ve always wanted to meet and work with him. Just like how ARMY inspires me, my constant gratitude for ARMY led me to a sweet track like this one.”
The musician also told Fallon he wants to team up with Kendrick Lamar on a future song. “I want to meet Kendrick Lamar,” J-Hope said, adding, “I’m ready [to] work with you Kendrick.”
As he shares his new music, J-Hope is on tour supporting Hope on the Street, which he’ll conclude in Japan in June 2025. He told The Tonight Show audience of the tour, “I’m ready and you guys are ready!” The singer added that his success at Lollapalooza a few years ago led to the forthcoming tour. “There is a great synergy between them,” he noted.
Earlier in the show, J-Hope made a cameo during Fallon’s monologue, dancing behind him briefly to cheers from the crowd.
J-Hope recently spoke to Rolling Stone about “Sweet Dreams” and completing his military service. “I think the period of rest that naturally came with the situation actually became an opportunity for more exploration,” he said. “I found a lot of new inspiration and got to spend much time thinking about the future. I also started making plans for what I want to do once I complete my military service.”
He added of his solo tour, “I believe Hope on the Stage is the tour that will show every facet of who I am. It’s a window into the full scope of J-Hope.”
