Demi Lovato Asks ChatGPT to Roast Her and Fiance Jutes to Read Them

Demi Lovato woke up and chose violence when she asked ChatGPT to roast her – and still somehow managed to end up pretty happy with the result.

Lovato shared a video via Instagram on Friday, March 14, explaining that she actually asked the AI program to insult her. She then told her fans that her fiancé Jutes (born Jordan Lutes) was going to read the answers she received.

“Oh you mean the artist formerly known as Confident but now more like Confused?” Jutes began, a reference to Lovato’s 2015 song by the same name. “Demi Lovato has had more rebrands than a failing food chain.”

“One minute they’re punk rock, the next they’re singing pop ballads and somewhere in between they’re beefy with a frozen yogurt sauce, Jutes continued.“Like babes just pick a lane or at least a consistent genre.”

That wasn’t all — ChatGPT had more to say. “And let’s not even talk about their song lyrics,” he continued to read. “What’s wrong with being confident? Nothing Demi, but what’s wrong with being consistent? Because your career path is giving through darts at a vision board well blindfolded.”

Luckily, ChatGPT had something nice to say, too… well, kind of. “But hey credit where credit is due,” Jutes added. “Demi’s voice is undeniable. If only their decision-making skills were as strong as their vocal chords.”

Lovato looked surprised, then asked, “So you think I’m a good singer?” before she turned off the video.

Jutes and Lovato announced their engagement in December 2023. Jutes, 33, proposed to Lovato, 32, with a pear-shaped diamond solitaire ring created by Material Good before taking her to a private party to celebrate with friends and family.

Us exclusively revealed in August 2022 that the singer was “really happy” and in a “healthy relationship” with a musician. The duo were spotted later that month holding hands while eating dinner in New York City.

The pair officially confirmed their relationship when they celebrated Lovato’s birthday together in August 2022. “Bday bitch [with] her love,” Lovato captioned a cuddly Instagram Story photo of the two.

​​Lutes later shared a heartfelt tribute to Lovato in honor of her special day. “Happy birthday baby. [You’re] a 30-year-old minx and I’m the luckiest schmuck in the world cuz I get to call [you] mine,” he wrote via Instagram at the time. “Making [you] laugh has become my new obsession cuz [your] smile literally cures my depression. … I’m so proud of [you] for not only surviving everything you’ve been through but coming out on top and becoming [your] healthiest happiest sweetest self.”
