Where to buy Alison Hammond’s polka dot dress

From Bake Off to This Morning, Alison Hammond is a household name, and she often appears in stylish yet accessible looks, with many pieces coming from high-street brands. Luckily for fans who want to steal her style, we’ve found the Monsoon dress she wore this Friday, and it’s still in stock in all sizes.
On her first day back in the This Morning studio after Christmas, Alison wore a gorgeous navy and white polka dot dress from Monsoon. Having shared a snap of herself wearing the frock on her Instagram, fans flocked to the comments to ask about the dress. “Blooming love your dress”, one wrote, while several others were keen to know where it was from.
The comments continued under a clip shared by This Morning’s account, where Alison spots a spare button sewn on the inside of the dress, leading to a funny back-and-forth that has since been a viral moment online. One commenter said: “I absolutely love Alison’s dress; she looks stunning wearing it. Wish I knew where she bought it from.”
Luckily, we know exactly where to buy it, and it turns out there are a few different retailers with the garment in stock. The Kate Puff Sleeve Polka Dot Midi Dress is in stock in all sizes at Marks and Spencer. It’s also available at Very, though it has started to sell out in a couple of sizes, as well as directly on the Monsoon website. The dress comes in a fairly wide range of sizes, from a UK eight to 24.
The vintage-inspired dress features a flattering empire waist and a floaty midi skirt. It also features some playful touches, such as a collared neckline and puffy sleeves, with a flirty polka dot print throughout.
What makes it stand out, though, is a row of embellished, flower-shaped buttons down the front, adding a bit of subtle sparkle to the otherwise demure design.
Although the dress retails for £150, it’s a fairly versatile outfit that could take you from the office to special events, depending on how you style it. Plus, it has a timeless design that I reckon will last for years to come. On Saturday, Alison’s stylist, Rachael Hughes, shared her full look on Instagram story, showing that she styled the dress with a pair of white ballet flats.
It’s perfect for spring, and would look super cute paired with ballet flats, kitten heels or even sandals. As it has a 1940s feel to it, it would look stunning with a slick of red lipstick and big sunglasses, but due to its embellishments, it would also look equally lovely with more understated accessories.
One fan even said it would be great for the races, commenting: “I’ve just ordered this for Ladies Day at Aintree. Hope there’s no duplicates!”
