Sainsbury’s £10 sandals shoppers love are ‘perfect for the summer’

Summer is fast approaching, making now the perfect time to seek inspiration for your footwear ahead of the warmer months. For those with a fondness for nostalgic trends, jelly sandals have enjoyed a remarkably stylish comeback over the past two years, with Vogue even tipping them as this summer’s “it shoe”.
With the sandals poised to be a must-have this summer, Sainsbury’s is rapidly selling out of its £10 pair online. The Jelly Mule Sandals from the supermarket’s clothing range TU boast a slip-on design and a retro-inspired jelly upper with a woven cage effect across the foot. The shoes are available in two colours – black or white, reports Liverpool Echo.
Sainsbury’s online description reads: “Our sandals have been designed with a retro-inspired jelly upper in a slip on style! Perfect for pairing with shorts and tees on casual beach days or morning strolls.”
The sandals have proved a hit with customers thus far, achieving an impressive average review score of 4.8 out of five stars. Some 79% of shoppers confirmed they fitted as expected, while 94% stated they would recommend them.
One reviewer commented: “Great comfortable shoes for the summer. Easy to just slip on. Perfect size too.”
Another customer observed that the colour did not precisely match the description on the black shoes but remained pleased with the purchase nonetheless.
The review stated: “Love these jelly mules. They’re not black, they’re transparent black which makes them look more of a brown colour, which I actually prefer. Very comfortable and perfect for the summer”.
A third commented: “Easy to wear slip on shoes with waterproof in-soles and uppers. Ideal for around the pool.”
Out of 19 reviews, just one customer gave the sandals fewer than five stars, awarding two stars because they were “too small”.
