Royal fans issue major complaint about Princess Kate’s Wimbledon appea | Royal | News

Catherine looked stunning in an olive-green dress by Emilia Wickstead. She kept her accessories simple, with a pair of brown heels and a brown bag. The future Queen sported glam and glowy makeup, while her hair was styled in her signature loose waves. However, some fans were unimpressed with the colour and fabric of her dress and said that it was not fit for the weekend’s sweltering heat.
One user said on Instagram: “It’s kind of a dark colour for a summer dress.”
Another one added: “Not a fan of this color for a summery event like Wimbledon but the style is nice.”
A third one said, “The colour is not exactly a favourite of mine, but I guess it is tennis related.”
A fourth one commented: “I’m confused, another wool dress at Wimbledon… is the UK experiencing a heat wave right now?? Why wool.”
A fifth one asked: “I love the dress . Isn’t it a bit warm to be wearing a wool dress in a dark colour?”
Others appeared to be huge fans of the princess’s sartorial choice, with one fan writing: “She is smashing it lately.”
Another user chimed: “What a fashion moment, she looks fabulous.”
A third one opined: “Beautiful, modern but sophisticated (obviously) that’s how it should be. Gorgeous.”
On Sunday, Catherine presented the Wimbledon men’s trophy to Jannik Sinner for the second year in a row after he successfully defended his title at the “most special tournament” of the year.
Speaking after the match, Catherine told Sinner it was “really inspiring” for George and Charlotte to watch tennis played at his level.
The royal congratulated the Italian sportsman on his victory, and said: “You’ve had such a fantastic tournament so really, really well done.”
