Pussy Riot Protests Tech Company for ‘Powering Russian War Crimes’

Pussy Riot occupied the Manhattan offices of Ubiquiti Friday to protest the tech company’s “role in Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine,” the group said in a statement.

In a video statement, Pussy Riot member Nadya explained how the Russian military has relied on Ubiquiti to communicate with troops on the frontline, and in doing so assisted in “thousands of documented cases of war crimes by the russian army.”

Shortly after the protest, Pussy Riot said that Ubiquiti responded to their demands by having their partner company Square “deactivate the account we use to sell T-shirts at our gigs.” “Going after Russian feminist activists in exile, but not after Russian war criminals.
