Pitbull fans shave their heads after record-breaking concert to win huge prize

Fans of Pitbull were invited to shave their heads for a substantial prize – in a contest inspired by the famously bald rapper.
The superstar performer claimed an unexpected world record for the most people wearing bald caps while he took to the stage at London’s Hyde Park this weekend.
However, six enthusiasts went beyond the 22,141 cap wearers by genuinely shaving their heads for a contest organised by alcohol brand Fireball Cinnamon Whisky.
A barbershop near the concert location was converted into a Fireball Bald Spot where concert-goers abandoned the bald cap, underwent the shave and spun Fireball’s Winning Wheel.
Alaeddin Alayyan secured an extraordinary trip for two to Miami, Florida, US, which is Pitbull’s hometown, reports the Daily Star.
He’ll experience a five-night stay at the iconic Fontainebleau Miami Beach Hotel, VIP airport transfers, an exclusive South Beach nightclub experience and spending money.
The remaining five departed with prizes, from ice-cold shots and cash rewards to, most significantly, a fresh shave, considerable bragging rights, and a tale to share.
Fireball Cinnamon Whisky describe it as a ‘celebration of one of pop culture’s most recognisable looks’.
Alaeddin said: “The moment they said I’d won I completely forgot I was bald.
“It’s probably the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever done – but that’s exactly why I did it.
“Hair grows back. But a trip to Miami? That is a story that’ll last forever.”
A spokesperson for Fireball, Lorenzo Farronato, said: “You don’t often get the chance to reward someone for shaving their head.
“When we saw thousands of fans embracing the iconic look, we thought we would create an experience for the few willing to make it permanent, at least for a while.
“That’s how one shaved head becomes a trip to Miami.”
