My desert island Shark hair styler that gives me perfect blowdry on Amazon sale

The hair tool that I’ve been using recently has sped up my post-shower haircare routine and has even given me compliments from my friends – and it’s now on Amazon Prime Big Deal Days sale.

Shark launched three hair tools in the last two years and the SmoothStyle Heated Brush and Comb has been my go-to when I want a quick blowdry. I’ve owned a Dyson Airwrap but it takes time to swap attachments so it’s been a game-changer using Shark’s SmoothStyle that’s both a hair dryer and a styling brush.

Orginally priced at £119.99, the hair tool is now on Amazon’s two-day shopping deal that is exclusively for Prime members and it’s been reduced to £69.99 until the offer runs out tomorrow, 9 October. 

Offering four different modes, the heated brush can dry wet hair,  add volume to flat hair, smoothe and tame all the unruly, frizzy hairy. I have been enjoying using the Shark Smooth Style and put my hair dryer aside completely.

It works even better and faster when I sectioned my towel-dried hair. Choose between three heat settings in the ‘wet hair mode’ and wrap my hair around the brush as I dry, it creates the perfect bouncy curls for a trendy look.

My tip is to curl the hair away from your face rather than towards your face – it’s a tip I learned from hair stylists and reshape the section of hair to keep the form when done. I’ve had friends asking me “what have you done to your hair?” while some telling me “your hair looks really nice, what’s the secret?”

Alternatively, you can also use the heated brush for a sleek hair style without using hair straighteners – gently pull the hair downwards as you dry the hair. I also like the round-ended pins as it prevent any irritation or scratching of the scalp.

One minor thing that I would complain is the noise and the weight of the heated brush because they are heavy. You need a bit of arm muscle to wring the brush around your head for 10 minutes. The higher the heat setting, the noisier the brush will get but given Shark has managed to fit all the technical bits inside a brush, it’s difficult to keep the noise down.
