M&S £45 denim jacket reminds shoppers of the ‘early 1970s’

Everybody needs a denim jacket to pair with dresses, skirts, shorts and trousers during summer on chillier days and evenings. Marks and Spencer is selling one with a difference that shoppers are loving thanks to its ‘perfect’ fit and nostalgic vibes.

The Pure Cotton Denim Relaxed Utility Jacket has been designed with comfort in mind due to its relaxed style. It has convenient popper fastenings on the front of the jacket and on the cuffs for a neat authentic look.

The denim jacket is available in sizes six to 24 and costs £45. It’s part of the M&S Collection which includes easy-to-wear wardrobe staples that combine classic and contemporary styles.

The jacket has two buttoned flap pockets on the chest and two slip pockets at the sides, offering plenty of storage space for your phone, purse, lipstick and any other essentials. Thanks to its classic style, the jacket would pair well with any outfit and footwear. 

Nearly 100 Marks and Spencer shoppers have reviewed the Pure Cotton Denim Relaxed Utility Jacket to date, with it receiving an average rating of 4.9 out of five and voted as ‘true to size’. One shopper said: “Amazing jacket, fits perfectly. I would highly recommend.” 

A second picked up on the nostalgic design of the jacket, as they commented: “Timeless denim piece. Love it. So flattering and comfortable. Reminds me of my younger days in the early 1970s.”

A third added: “A very useful jacket to have as a staple. I have had several shorter-style denim jackets previously which I didn’t wear much, so I really wanted one that would be more practical and comfortable.

“I love the deep pockets and the stud fastening top pockets. The jacket has a loose fit without looking shapeless. I think this will be a go-to jacket for me as it’s so easy to style and comfortable to wear.”

One customer, however, commented on the length of the sleeves. “Love the length of the jacket, the style and that there are poppers instead of buttons. I found the sleeve length perfect for me, but some may find them a bit short.”
