Lady Gaga and Doechii Turn Dancefloor Into ‘Runway’ in Music Video

The collaboration is part of the Devil Wears Prada 2, which premieres May 1
Lady Gaga and Doechii are kiki-ing and serving sass in the music video for their new song “Runway.”
The powerhouse pair recently up for the new track, which will feature in the highly-anticipated film, The Devil Wears Prada 2. In the new music video, directed by Parris Goebel, Lady Gaga and Doechii don an array of high-fashion looks as they rattle off tongue-in-cheek lyrics about spilling tea and turning any dancefloor into a runway.
While the song marks the first collaboration between Gaga and Doechii, both have expressed admiration for the other. Doechii has cited Lady Gaga as a massive influence and a “legend,” saying she is the “biggest Lady Gaga fan.” And last July, Lady Gaga spoke just as highly of Doechii to British Vogue, saying the rapper came “out of the gate with a pen that feels immediately legendary.”
“I fell in love with her music and her raw, deeply personal perspective,” Lady Gaga added. “The power in her words, her vulnerability, the way she rhymes with this wild mix of audacity and emotional precision — it struck me to the core.”
Hitting theaters nearly 20 years after the first movie’s premiere, The Devil Wears Prada sequel sees original cast members Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci reprising their roles in the cult favorite film. Streep plays Miranda Priestly, the icy and no-nonsense editor-in-chief of fictional fashion magazine Runway, as she navigates the decline of print journalism and shrinking editorial budgets. The film hits theaters May 1.
