What a week for Kendrick Lamar. Last Sunday, the rapper swept the Grammys, picking up five trophies for “Not Like Us.” One week later, Kendrick Lamar took the stage for a rousing Super Bowl halftime performance, performing a setlist heavy on his latest album, GNX. He also slyly performed his chart-topping Drake diss, “Not Like Us,” which enjoyed a huge post-Super Bowl bump on Spotify.

The timing couldn’t have been better for Lamar, as GNX, which surprise dropped in November last year, was released on vinyl and CD on Friday. Following Lamar’s Super Bowl performance, the physical releases surged to the top of Amazon’s vinyl and CD charts.

The LP version was being released in several variants, including a 180g black or white vinyl exclusive to Kendrick Lamar’s store. There’s also a Target-exclusive variant on gray vinyl, an indie-exclusive variant in Dodger blue, and the standard version in black.

Standard edition

The standard edition of the album is available from major retailers and is pressed on a single LP black vinyl.

The Target-exclusive pressing was released on gray vinyl, matching the monochrome color scheme of the album’s cover.

Indie exclusive

The indie exclusive on blue vinyl is available at local record stores and independent marketplaces.

Kendrick Lamar racked up five Grammy awards for “Not Like Us,” his world-dominating Drake diss. “Not Like Us,” “Euphoria,” and Lamar’s other diss tracks did not appear on GNX. The full-length, which featured songs like “luther” and “tv off,” was not nominated at this year’s Grammys because it was released after the cut-off date. That means it could be eligible for a 2026 Grammy, something Drake is sure to be thrilled about.

In the Rolling Stone review, Mosi Reeves wrote, “As a nightcap to Lamar’s strangely exhilarating MVP season, GNX tries to embrace his dual identities: the spiritualist who hears his inner voice as God on “Reincarnated,” and the block thumper who spits venom at detractors real and perceived on “Wacced Out Murals.”
