‘I tried trendy skincare devices to see why they were so popular’
I tried the new affordable beauty devices everyone seems to be raving about to come to a conclusion on whether less is more when it comes to skincare.
GESKE is an innovative beauty tech brand designed to help you find a personalised skincare routine supported by AI, all at a budget-friendly price.
Their multifunctional devices allow users to integrate effective treatments and professional salon technologies into their home care routines.
With over 120 million euros invested—the largest in the beauty tech sector—GESKE has created more than 250 customisable devices starting at just £7.95. Each device is developed, tested, and approved by dermatologists, ensuring quality and effectiveness.
Unsure of what to expect, I decided to give a selection of them a go and figure out if I noticed any changes.
The tools I tried included the Sonic Thermo Facial Brush, Sonic Warm & Cool Mask, Warm & Cool Eye Energizer, and a MicroCurrent Face-Lifter – three of them came alongside a face cream to be applied prior to the treatment.
Now, while I take pride in trying my best to understand beauty terms and skincare technicalities, I had little to no idea how exactly to use these devices.
Luckily, the GESKE app, developed with the help of a dermatologist, came in very handy, just as I scrambled to open the sleek, compact boxes they came packaged in.
The app uses skin scans to deliver an AI-driven analysis in seconds, highlighting potential areas for improvement.
It assesses ten specific factors, including dark circles, wrinkles, and blemishes; and users can easily select their areas of focus with just a few clicks.
Following my scan, the app created a tailor-made skincare routine for my specific skin type, using the devices I had on hand.
After using them for a few weeks, I noticed my skin felt smoother and the texture had improved, leading to a visibly plump and hydrated complexion.
But the truly surprising and most hoped for change I noticed was a visible reduction of dark circles and undereye puffiness that left me looking more rejuvenated and with no signs of tiredness.
With prices hovering around £40 to £50, anyone could justify trying them just to see what the hype is about, as these products have solidified their place in the market over the past few months.
However, I did not expect to see such visible results within just weeks of using them for just a few minutes each day.
What really made these affordable devices standout was the technology attached to it, which makes understanding skin types and their different necessities so much easier a straightforward.
Other similar products are available in the UK are the RevitaGlow™ Advanced Facial Toning and Multi-Spectral Rejuvenation System (£39) and Dr. LEVY Switzerland The Contour Pro (£224.10)
