Looking to score a few extra Zzz’s? Goop thinks it has the answer. Gwyneth Paltrow‘s ever-aspirational wellness empire has just dropped a pair of sleeping glasses (yes, that’s a thing now) designed to be a chicer, more high-concept take on your average sleep mask. According to Goop, wear them for two hours, and they’ll block out harmful light and gently escort you into dreamland.
Do they actually work? Its hard to say. We’ll leave that to the professionals. But what we can confirm is that they’ll make you look fashionable and like someone who takes REM cycles very seriously (as you should). So, whether you’re drifting off in your king-sized cloud bed or accidentally falling asleep mid-flight with your mouth wide open (no judgment), at least you’ll look good doing it.
The launch coincides with Goop’s new collab with Westin Hotels & Resorts, which includes a three-part mini-series starring Paltrow herself and sleep doctor Dr. Cheri D. Mah. It’s called Sleep Training for Grownups, and it dives into how to fall asleep on the go.
And honestly? Gwyneth might be onto something — because according to the National Center for Biotechnology Information, sleep is pretty damn important. “While scientists are still working to identify and clarify all of the functions of sleep, decades of studies — many of which have used the method of disrupting sleep and examining the consequences — have confirmed that sleep is necessary for our healthy functioning and even survival,” an article published in the NBCI said.
So, if you want to look better, feel better, and not sound like a zombie during your 3 p.m. Zoom call, the answer is simple: sleep. Get Goop’s new glasses for just $60. That’s cheaper than a three-month melatonin habit or a year of paying someone to tell you to inhale and exhale. The choice seems simple.
Available in two colors, these glasses will hopefully help you find out what “Sweet Dreams Are Made Of.” Grab a pair now.
