While Evans’ beard (or lack thereof during the Captain America era) has definitely become his signature look, the actor admitted that letting his beard grow is just easier.

“I just hate shaving,” he shared in a June 2022 interview. “It’s tough to just try and maintain that. There are certain films I’ve done where you do have to have — whether it’s a mustache or clean shaven — and just shaving every day is such a pain.”

Evans showed off his baby face during the early days of his career but once the Captain America role hit, it was clean shaven all day every day. Now, he’s let the beard, which has a touch of gray, grow out, and Us Weekly is so into it.
