Charli XCX Brings Out Lorde, Addison Rae at MSG

Addison Rae also joined Charli and Troye Sivan on stage for a a live debut of “Diet Pepsi”
During Charli XCX‘s stop at Madison Square Garden for her co-headlining Sweat tour with Troye Sivan, the “Von Dutch” singer was joined by Lorde during Monday’s performance.
In a surprise set, Lorde took the stage to perform their “Girl, so confusing” remix alongside Charli for the first time. The pair strutted side-by-side, as they sang the pre-chorus: “People say we’re alike/They say we’ve got the same hair/It’s you and me on the coin the industry loves to spend/And when we put this to bed, the internet will go crazy/I’m glad I know how you feel.”
Addison Rae also joined Charli on stage, along with Sivan, to debut her new track, “Diet Pepsi,” and perform their “Von Dutch” remix, which also featured updated production from A. G. Cook.
The Sweat tour launched on Sept. 14 in Detroit, Michigan, at Little Caesars Arena, and is currently set to conclude on Oct. 23 in Seattle, Washington. Charli and Sivan will visit Toronto, Columbus, Philadelphia, Nashville, Atlanta, Orlando, San Diego, Portland, and more throughout their expansive trek.
In October 2018, Charli and Sivan first teamed up for “1999,” which appeared on the album Charli. Less than a year later, they collaborated again for the sequel single “2099.” The tour is in support of Charli’s massive album Brat and Sivan’s 2023 LP Something to Give Each Other.
