Channel Helen Mirren’s look with this £34 green dress

Dame Helen Mirren, 80, star of Netflix’s The Thursday Murder Club, turned heads in a vivid green dress while attending the King’s Trust Carol Concert at St Paul’s Church in Knightsbridge. The award-winning star, known for her bold fashion choices on and off the red carpet, looked effortlessly elegant as she posed for photos alongside co-star Pierce Brosnan, 72.
We’re not sure where the MobLand actress got her exact dress from, but this midi from Roman has definitely caught our eye for anyone inspired by Helen’s colour choice. Although it’s usually priced at £42, the site is currently offering 20% off with code WOW, bringing it down to £34.
Like Helen’s frock, it has a modest, flattering round neckline, and the same easy, dressed-up feel that works for dinners, festive gatherings or any event where you want to look put-together without going over the top. It comes in sizes 10 to 20.
Roman shoppers have given the green dress high praise. One user penned: “Lovely fabric and the colour is perfect. I am quite short but the length is suitable.”
Another customer wrote: “Fantastic dress. I already had one in different a colour so ordered this one. Great dress, fit is very good.” And a third person who bought the coral version, shared: “Lovely material, true to size and made me feel beautiful.”
It doesn’t have any negative comments from shoppers; however, unlike Helen’s, it is lighter, more floaty chiffon fabric with short sleeves, so it might need a jacket added for some warmth.
