Billy Ray Cyrus Is ‘Crying’ Writing Tribute to Noah and Miley Cyrus

Billy Ray Cyrus penned a sweet message to daughters Noah Cyrus and Miley Cyrus.

“Holy s—. I seldom ever swear in my post but this deserves one!” Billy Ray, 63, wrote via Instagram on Tuesday, March 25. “You are witnessing in real time what it feels like for a Dad who with in less than one weeks time has had his ass kicked and his mind blown by not one …but two of his own daughters @mileycyrus @noahcyrus.”

He continued, “Flesh and blood … completely taking their art to a whole new level . Congratulations girls ! Well done. I’m so damn proud of both of you. I’m actually crying as I write this. Thank God you can’t see me. Have fun now and be happy ! 😊Love Dad.”

Alongside the message, Billy Ray uploaded a black-and-white photo of Miley, 32, for her Something Beautiful album next to an image of Noah, 25, gazing off in the distance in her “Don’t Put It All on Me” music video. Billy Ray also shared the tribute via his Instagram Story, tagging Noah and Miley alongside four hearts.

Days before Billy Ray’s post, he publicly shared text messages between himself and Noah celebrating both of their new music. (Billy Ray released his single “Ask” with Ben Burgess and Brandon Manley.)

“Doddy!! I love your single!” Noah told Billy Ray, who’s correspondence was mostly cut-off. The text that was revealed read, “Whhhhooooo!!!! Thank.”

“Congratulations Noie @noahcyrus!!! I love your sign in NYC !” he wrote via Instagram on Friday, March 21. “It is crazy our records were released on the same day. They … tell me we made history again in music today as a father and daughter release on the same day kinda thing. I like doing things that hasn’t been done before. That’s the challenge ya see ? Carl Perkins taught me that. He bended a few genres himself. How bout them blue suede shoes ! 👞💔.”

Noah reacted to her dad’s upload, writing in the comments section, “thanks fath!!! i love you so much. you’re my inspiration ❤️ i’m so proud of us!!!”

Billy Ray and Noah’s back-and-forth came after the family made headlines for his health. In January, Tish Cyrus claimed that Billy Ray was “not healthy,” with Braison Cyrus later alleging that the musician was both “healthy” and “happy.” Seemingly in response to Braison’s claims, Trace appeared to suggest that neither his brother nor Billy Ray were doing well. Later that month, Billy Ray shared that he was “praying” for his family.

Tish Cyrus and Billy Ray welcomed Miley, Noah and Braison before divorcing in 2022. Billy Ray adopted Trace and Brandi Cyrus after he wed Tish, 57, in 1992. Billy Ray also shares son Christopher Cyrus with ex Kristin Luckey.
