‘Beautiful’ £34 velvet dress is perfect for New Year’s Eve

We’re now deep in festive party season, and if you haven’t got your New Year’s Eve partywear sorted, there’s no need to panic.  We’ve spotted some great deals over at Joe Brown, including some fabulous party dresses. There are countless options in the sale, but a highlight was a pink velvet dress that has been reduced from £49 to £34 – an over 30% saving. 

The Juliette dress is a midaxi length, stopping just above the ankle, and is made from a velvety material that gives it a dressy, luxurious feel, making it perfect for festive parties. Its deep pink shade is a fun deviation from the season’s deep reds and blacks, making it a great piece that can be worn again and again after the festive period is over.

It also has a flattering, feminine shape with a V-neckline and short flutter sleeves. The fabric has a slight stretch, which should keep it comfy. Sizes range from 6 to 18, but 14 is currently out of stock.

The dress has Good Morning Britain presenter Charlotte Hawkins’ stamp of approval, as she wore it earlier this month.

The presenter shared a photo of herself wearing the dress on Instagram, with fans saying they were “loving the new dress” and complimenting her “gorgeous outfit”.

Joe Browns customers have left many positive reviews, with one saying they “plan to wear for [their] many Christmas events”.

Another said: “Lovely shape and style. Good length and colour for me. Like the neck line and the flutter sleeves. It felt heavy enough to be luxurious.”

Another shopper said they planned on wearing the dress on two occasions, saying: “This is a beautiful dress! Perfect shape and very flattering. I’m going to wear this to a ball and a wedding.”

One shopper did find the length wasn’t quite right for them: “Love the design but surprised at the length as it’s almost down to my ankles May have to shorten it, but that’s ok, it’s flattering for my shape.”
