Demi Lovato Unveils ‘It’s Not That Deep’ Track List, Drops ‘Kiss’

Demi Lovato enlisted some celebrity friends to help her unveil the track list for her new album, It’s Not That Deep. On Friday, the pop star shared a carousel of photos from Mistr’s National Day of PrEP party, featuring Omar Apollo and Kim Petras, who helped her share the songs from her upcoming record, out on October 24.
Drag icon Monét X Change held up a phone reading “Play ‘Fast‘” in honor of the album’s lead single, Diplo posed with “Here All Night” while behind the DJ booth, Petras shouted out Track 3 “Frequency,” and later, Apollo posed with a photo asking the DJ to play “Kiss,” Lovato’s single that dropped Friday.
Also featured in the track list reveal carousel were Mean Girls actor Jonathan Bennett, Drag Race queen Alyssa Edwards, and Crush Music’s Evan Candelmo, alongside Ramisha Sattar, Chappell Roan’s creative director.
“Don’t forget to request with your local dj,” Lovato captioned her post.
Lovato unveiled the track list alongside the music video for her new single “Kiss,” which lives up to its name. In the clip, she struts through a steamy photo studio where nearly everyone is locked in a makeout session. “I kiss for fun, it’s fun to kiss / I use my tongue li-li-li-like this / Like this,” she sings, weaving through crowds of people passionately swapping spit.
Lovato made her new album with executive producer Zhone, who recently told Rolling Stone, “It’s been so inspiring working with Demi and experiencing her journey of continued leveling up. She is such a master in the studio. This album is about letting inhibitions go, and we had so much fun making this music! It really comes across throughout.”
It’s Not That Deep follows the singer’s rock pivot on 2022’s Holy Fvck and 2023’s Revamped, which reimagined her classic hits as punk songs. Lovato describes the album as “a perfect reflection of where I’m at today.”
