Tyler, the Creator Releases New Album ‘Don’t Tap the Glass’

As promised, Tyler, the Creator released his new album Don’t Tap the Glass on Monday morning, just days after the rapper revealed his surprise follow-up to 2024’s Chromakopia.

The 10-track LP, out via Columbia Records, is the rapper’s ninth album. It clocks in at 28 minutes and 30 seconds, with no special guests noted on the track list. Tyler, the Creator wrote on social media that the music is “MADE FOR BODY MOVEMENT. FULL VOLUME.” Listen here.

During his show in Brooklyn on July 18, Tyler shouted out the album title and outside his concert at Barclays Center there was a massive figure enclosed in a clear box that read “Don’t Tap the Glass.” Tyler confirmed the album and its impending July 21 arrival (as well as a preorder page) on social media soon after.

A few days prior, the rapper hinted that something would be heading to fans next week, with Tyler sharing images on Instagram of a Louis Vuitton bag, a mannequin’s head, and a trumpet player in a band uniform all labeled with the date July 21. Last month, Doechii and Tyler previewed their new Pharrell-produced track “Get Right” during Louis Vuitton’s fashion show in Paris. It’s unclear if the collaboration will appear on Don’t Tap the Glass.

Don’t Tap the Glass is set to be Tyler’s ninth album following last year’s Chromakopia, which arrived just nine months ago in October 2024. That album featured a hefty list of collaborators including Doechii, Childish Gambino, GloRilla, Lil Wayne, Lola Young, Santigold, Teezo Touchdown, Schoolboy Q, and Sexyy Red; prior to Don’t Tap the Glass’ arrival, a similarly all-star guest list was rumored, but Tyler shot down those rumors on social media this past weekend: “NONE OF THESE PEOPLE ARE ON THIS, I DID NOT POST THIS INFO I DONT KNOW WHERE YOU GOT THIS FROM TO CONFIRM IT.”
