2026 is a big year for TV — but which shows do we definitely know are coming back for more seasons?

Paramount+ surprised viewers by renewing Landman for a third season before season 2 came to an end. Inspired by the “Boomtown” podcast series, Landman is focused on the West Texas oil industry with a specific focus on crisis executive Tommy Norris and his family. The Paramount+ show, which premiered in 2024, introduced Billy Bob Thornton as the corporate fixer working for an oil titan.

Season 2, which premiered in October, struck viewership records for Paramount+ by achieving over 9.2 million streaming views for its premiere episode in the first two days on service. Views increased from the first season premiere, making it the most watched premiere for any original series for Paramount+.

Boston Blue on CBS is another show that will get more time to grow. The network announced in December 2025 that the Blue Bloods spinoff Boston Blue and Fire Country spinoff Sheriff Country were coming back for a second season.
