The best of film, television, and (for the first time) podcasts will be recognized when the nominees for the 83rd Golden Globe Awards are announced today, Dec. 11.

Marlon Wayans and Skye P. Marshall will be on hand to announce the full list of nominees across all 28 categories during a livestream that’s set to begin at 8:15 a.m. ET. The livestream will be available to watch on CBSNews.com, as well as the network’s YouTube and TikTok channels.

Favorites for the film drama categories include a mix of critical darlings and blockbusters, like Chloé Zhao’s Hamnet, Ryan Coogler’s Sinners, Joachim Trier’s Sentimental Value, and Jafar Panahi’s It Was Just an Accident. Paul Thomas Anderson’s One Battle After Another is a likely favorite to lead to the film comedy and musical categories, alongside John Chu’s Wicked: For Good, Noah Baumbach’s Jay Kelly, and Josh Safdie’s Marty Supreme

In the TV categories, shows like The Pitt, The Studio, and Adolescence will all look to build off their recent success at the 2025 Emmys. Many other recent Emmy competitors will also likely score nominations, including Severance, The White Lotus, The Last of Us, Abbott Elementary, Only Murders in the Building, and The Bear. But the Globes will also get to consider recent releases, such as Pluribus, Task, Wednesday, I Love L.A., and The Chair Company

As for the inaugural recipient of the Globes’ new Best Podcast category, a list of 25 eligible shows were revealed in October. They include heavy hitters like Call Her Daddy, SmartLess, Good Hang With Amy Poehler, The Daily (from The New York Times), The Joe Rogan Experience, and The Ben Shapiro Show

The 83rd Golden Globes will air Jan. 11, with Nikki Glaser returning as host.

(The Golden Globes are produced by Dick Clark Productions, which is owned by Penske Media Corporation and Eldridge Industries; PMC is also the parent company of Rolling Stone.)
