While it is quite something to say that Ramona Singer is an iconic diva and often controversial RHONY cast member, what indeed unfolded was pure, unadulterated chaos. Forget a boardroom or a fancy restaurant; it was by a grill. Such outdoor grilling with panicked energy is simultaneously mesmerising and a little worrying-as the video cries out to have been shot by her friend Miguel Luciano.

The videography has the typical whirlwind effect. Dressed for an ostentatious outdoor getaway to the Hamptons, she is gallantly battling the grill as her eyes glisten, with me thinking she has never done this before. Turkey burgers are the culinary specialties she touts as being “Really healthy” while it was anything but smooth. The amused observer/interviewer adjacent to the grill was Miguel Luciano, who posed a question about her friendship with fellow Housewife Missy. The story of Singer’s origin is, not surprisingly, fabulous and vague, claiming that “they met in the Congo line at the Biblicae.” The situation is invaded with insects that she dramatically claimed chased away their “50 best girlfriends” from crashing the burger party so that they would have to retreat inside.

The caption simply stated: “Ramona on the GRILL,” sending Twitter into a frenzy with viewers who have run wild tracking Singer’s dramatic journey within the reality realm. The comments section becomes nostalgic and critical, sometimes genuinely perplexed.

One person did not beat about the bush, giving a darkly life-shattering outlook: “Secret to life: divorce a really rich man. sad.” This line, as brutal as it comes, spells the narrative all along Singer’s life, a matter that has been the talk amongst her fans for years. Yet another set of comments quickly spawned inside jokes referencing some of the famous instances from the show’s history. One user warned, “Don’t be throwing no tiki torches back there,” hilariously alluding to one past RHONY trip when Singer was infamously accused of actually throwing a tiki torch during a fight. Another comment, “That house has seen some shit! Not like Bluestone manor….but still! #notikitorches #thelowerlevel #clambakeleftovers,” continued the inside joke vibe contrasting the grill site to other infamous Housewives locations of drama.

Real praise, too, utterly mixed with playful jibes, came from about just as many commenters. Several deemed her “a national treasure” and “an icon”, testimony to the appeal of her crazy, and extremely unpolished and articulate. The partnership was indeed a victory in itself, with fans calling them “the duo I never knew I needed.”
