‘Next level’ facial steamer that doubles as a room diffuser

Self-care doesn’t have to cost a fortune and it’s now easier than ever to give your face a detox. That’s because Magnitone has a pore-cleansing device for under £40.
The SteamAhead 2 Hydrating Facial Nano Steamer, £39.99, is perfect for those wanting to unclog congested pores.
It helps stimulate natural collagen production to increase the skin’s elasticity. A similar treatment at beauty salons can be time-consuming and costly therefore, having a steamer at home is a good investment, allowing you to enjoy a spa experience in your own space. The steamer can also be used as a room diffuser with added essential oils of your choice.
Simply pour distilled or purified water into the water bank at the back of the device. Turn on and steam will begin to spray from the nozzle. The nano steam particles delve deep into the skin for increased hydration and to soften dirt and blackheads for effortless extraction.
The brand recommends holding your face at a comfortable distance of 25cm from the steam for up to 20 minutes – then you can use tools like Sarah Chapman’s Pro Pore Refiner or PMD Wave Pro to remove blackheads, dead skin and sebum,
To use as a room diffuser, when you pour the water in the tank, add a few drops of essential oils and let it run in the desired room.
The Magnitone SteamAhead 2 has received positive feedback from customers. One was impressed by the results, saying: “The SteamAhead 2 is next level. So much better than a traditional face steamer as you can direct the steam to certain parts of the face rather than it just going everywhere. I love that this can be used as a room diffuser too! So good!”
Another explained: “This steamer literally makes you feel like having a spa at home! Not only do I use it to have a facial but I also use it with essential oils to bring some aroma to my bedroom before I go to sleep! I’m just obsessed with it.”
A third said the steamer works brilliant as a humidifier as she struggles with blocked sinuses. But others preferred a cone shape for more a guided flow of steam.
“It’s good to use as a room diffuser but for a facial steamer, I prefer to a better shape to direct the steam towards one place rather than everywhere,” the customer added.
Panasonic’s EH-XS01 Facial Steamer also works on Nanoe Ionic Technology in three different programmes – 12 minutes, 6 minutes and 3 minutes. Amazon sells it for £129.97. Sarah Chapman’s Hydro Mist Steamer is £138 at Face the Future.
