New Look cuts over £20 off ‘cosy’ puffer jacket

At this time of year, a duvet-style coat comes into its own for warmth and versatility – and can be thrown on over just about any outfit. I think this padded puffer from New Look nails the balance between practicality and style. Plus, thanks to Black Friday sales, the price has dropped to under £65.

The coat falls just below the knee and comes in three easy-to-wear colours: black, chocolate brown and a beige. 

It comes in sizes 6 to 22, and at the time of writing all are available in every colour. It has a high neck and a hood for extra protection from the elements, and there are zippable side slits so it’s not too restrctive. 

Customers have left many positive reviews for the coat. One user wrote: “Cosy, warm and padded winter coat. It’s perfect for the cold weather it’s long and warm. Love the hood and neck feature.”

Another who bought the brown version said: “Great puffer coat! Kept me nice and snug for a firework display and should keep me cosy for the winter months. Fits well and looks good. Enough room to wear a few layers so not restrictive.”

A few reviewers shared that it wasn’t quite as imagined, with one writing: “Nice coat and colour but thinner than expected and the padding wasn’t as puffy as it seemed in the photo.” Another, who also said it was “lighter than expected” added that they felt it was “great if you don’t want a coat that’s too thick and heavy”.
