New Balance’s ‘comfy’ trainers are 30% off in the sale

New Balance shoppers can currently purchase the 5740 trainers for £77, down from £110, for a 30% savings.

An updated take on the classic 574, the 5740 is described as a mix of bold 80s style and 90s-inspired detailing. Made from suede and mesh, the design has a streamlined silhouette and comes in the versatile shade of neutral sandstone, which will go with just about everything. The shoes are currently available in sizes three to seven, including half sizes, but everything else has already sold out, reports Nottinghamshire Live.

Shoppers say the trainers are stylish and comfortable. One reviewer wrote: “Excellent, will buy more. They’re so comfy, never hurt my feet. Worn in Ireland, walked 31 miles in three days.” Another said: “Very comfortable. They didn’t cause me any issues, nor required any breaking in.”

Some do advise sizing up, with one customer noting: “Run a little small… I recommend sizing up half to a full size. Super comfortable.” Others praised their versatility, with reviews describing them as “great for work and casual wear”.
