M&S £30 ‘no iron’ trousers hailed ‘more comfortable’ than jeans

Shoppers looking to upgrade their wardrobe ahead of spring can look no further than Marks and Spencer. Shoppers are currently racing to M&S to buy a pair of no-iron trousers that are being lauded as ‘so comfortable’.
The Crepe Elasticated Waist Wide Leg Trousers are currently available from M&S for £30. They come in three colours – dark navy, black and pink – and sizes six to 24, and customers say the trousers fit ‘true to size’. There are also various inside leg length options, including extra short, short/petite, regular, long and extra long.
The site says these trousers create a ‘striking silhouette with their elegant wide-leg design’, making them perfect for casual fashion looks. The high elasticated waistband offers all-day comfort, while the adjustable drawstring ensures a perfect fit.
There are also side seam pockets and neat leg creases, adding stylish and practical finishing touches to the look. The trousers are part of the M&S Collection, featuring easy-to-wear wardrobe staples that ‘combine classic and contemporary styles’.
For an alternative option, shoppers could buy the Black Elastic Back Wide Leg Trousers from Next, which are currently being sold for £38. These come in a variety of other colours, regular and petite fits, sizes six to 26, and short, regular, long or extra long lengths. They have been designed in a wide-leg silhouette with elasticated waist detailing, front pleats, and side pockets.
Or over at New Look, there are the Dark Khaki Cotton Twill Drawstring Wide Leg Trousers for £26.99. These also come in the colours dark brown, white and black and sizes six to 18, depending on stocks. They are made from cotton twill ‘for a breezy fit’, the site says, and they have a flattering mid-rise fit and a relaxed drawstring fastening.
Shoppers have left positive reviews for the Crepe Elasticated Waist Wide Leg Trousers from M&S. One said: “Bought for work. Smart and slightly stretchy so perfect for me. Wash lovely, no ironing needed.”
Another added: “I bought these as a more comfortable option than jeans for travelling and wearing on a city break. They are a tad long (I’m 5’4) but so comfortable, well made, love the elasticated waist. They look fab with trainers and a tan jacket. Exactly what I was after.” A third said: “Lovely fitting trousers, wide but not too baggy, just a nice weight for the warmer weather.”
Others deducted a star and left feedback, with one writing: “Good fitting trousers and nice fabric but a little too wide on the legs. Also quite high waisted even though I am tall. Overall fine though.”
Another said: “Lovely colour and shape, the only issue was that even the short length was too long and required taking up. I thought short was for 5ft 3 and under. Usually this length is perfect.”
