Lisa Snowdon raves over £59 Next dress perfect for summer

The polka dot print is always huge in summer and Lisa Snowdon has shown shoppers how to embrace the trend with affordable dresses from high-street brands.
From monochrome options to bold picks, the ITV presenter recently shared some of her top choices on This Morning – which are ideal for any late summer gatherings. When going through her favourite buys, she dressed a mid-aged model in a red polka dot dress that’s ideal for different body types – and shoppers can get it at Next for £59.
Model Jane wore a Pink Spot Short Sleeve Chiffon Tiered Maxi Dress from fashion label Friends Like This, which is still available to buy. Featuring big and small spots, the chiffon-based, short-sleeve printed maxi dress is sure to keep the wearer comfortable.
The short flutter sleeves are great to hide any upper arm concerns while a crew neckline offers a fitted feel even those with larger busts. The tiered hem adds movement and creates a flattering shape that hugs the figure in all the right places.
Lisa explained on the This Morning show: “I love this dress, it looks really nice together, it just really pops. This is more of an occasionwear dress – the lovely maxi tiered hem and beautiful sleeve detail.
After trying on the dress, Jane changed her mind about wearing spotty prints, saying: “I didn’t think that they did it in so many different colours. I can definitely go on holiday in this.”
The dress also has a spaghetti strap to accentuate the waistline. Shoppers can find the dress in regular and petite fits from sizes UK8 to UK24.
Elsewhere at Hobbs, shoppers can pick up this Anoushka Jersey Dress at a discount, marked down from £99 to £45. The long-sleeved jersey dress can be worn from late summer to early autumn.
Looking for alternatives? White Stuff’s Megan Midi Dress Jersey features a ditsy leaf print that looks no different from polka dots from afar. It is also on sale and reduced from £65 to £52.
Next shoppers love the Friends Like This frock and said it is perfect for weddings and races. Some were showered with compliments, as one said: “Gorgeous fit, being 5ft 10, perfect length for me. Lovely material, hangs beautifully and a delight to wear? So many compliments. Wasn’t too sure of the colour when I first saw it in the bag, but tried it on and loved it.”
Another added: “Bought it for the races. Thinking of wearing for a wedding in the autumn. Liked it was lined, the pattern and colours.”
A third purchased the piece for a wedding in Santorini, Greece, sharing: “It was lightweight, the quailty of the dress was excellent. the detail was lovely, I had so many compliments.”
However one customer noted a sizing issue and shared had to rebuy. She said: “As I have accessories to match I attempted my fourth purchase and in size 10. Improved but not sure if keeping it due to length.”
The dress is available to shop on Next here.
