Kylie Jenner Defends Her Dress for Hailey and Justin Bieber’s Wedding

Kylie Jenner finally addressed the comments surrounding her risqué gold gown worn at Hailey Bieber and Justin Bieber’s 2019 wedding.

While breaking out 21 of her outfits throughout her life during an episode of Vogue’s “Life in Looks” series, Jenner, 28, opened up about her viral J’Aton Couture dress. “This was for Hailey and Justin’s wedding and I think people were a little upset that I went all out,” she said. “But [Justin and Hailey] didn’t care — I don’t think,” she quipped.

“Hailey, call me if you have an issue,” she laughed.

Jenner admitted that in hindsight, she “probably wouldn’t wear” the sexy look — which featured a cutout over her bust and a revealing thigh-high slit — to a wedding today. “But I think I had the impression that people were gonna just be going all out.” Jenner teamed her glamorous dress with a butterfly purse, strappy heels and dangling earrings.

She donned a full beat at the star-studded nuptials, including filled-in eyebrows, brown eyeshadow blended into her crease, sharp winged eyeliner and long lashes. She completed her makeup with lined pink lips. Jenner’s brunette hair was parted down the middle and styled in a messy updo.

She added, “I love this look!”

Jenner reminisced on the “best” night, sharing that she was one of the last to leave the wedding.

At the time, Jenner shared photos of her dazzling dress via Instagram, prompting fans to share their mixed reactions in the comments section.

“Are you out of your mind? Why on earth would you wear that as a GUEST at a WEDDING,” one social media user wrote, while another added, “I feel like you stole the show this night 😩🥺😯.” A third commented, “Imagine someone [walked] up to your wedding dressed like this? I’d call the police 😂😂😂.”

While some thought her look was over the top, others praised the stunning design, writing, “Obsessed w this 😍.” A second fan gushed, “Literally a goddess😍😍👸👸,” while a third commented, “Oh wow you are shining like a star.”

Elsewhere in the YouTube video, Jenner opened up about the “only” dress that she’s worn that she didn’t get to keep — her 2019 Met Gala ensemble by Versace.

“This is one of my favorite looks of all time,” she explained. “This is actually the only dress of mine that I don’t own. So, if anyone out there has my dress, call me, because it’s precious to me and I need my dress.”

Her getup featured a sheer crystal-embellished silhouette with a purple feathered train. She completed her ensemble with puffs of plume attached to her arms and a lavender wig.

Kylie matched her look with Kendall Jenner, who complemented her vibe in a similar dress featuring a see-through bodice with orange beading on the lining. Kendall, 29, styled her design with feathers lining her arm.

For glam, she wore her brunette hair in a slicked-back updo with a strand forming a swirl on her forehead. The duo posed together on the red carpet along with other family members including Kim Kardashian and Kris Jenner.
