Get Penny Lancaster’s blue-and-white floral look – from £32 | Celebrity News | Showbiz & TV

The Chelsea Flower Show may now be over for another year but we’ll be taking style inspiration from the celebrity and royal guests for the summer months.
Many visitors opted, unsurprisingly, for florals – and blue and white botanical prints were a popular choice. Penny Lancaster led the charge in a stunning £298 dress in the colour combination from trendy US brand Reformation
Meanwhile, Good Morning Britain weather presenter Laura Tobin, went for a version from British brand Nobody’s Child, which retails at £140.
We’ve found Penny and Laura’s exact dresses, as well as high street alternatives so you can try the the look for yourself this summer.
Penny chose the Irisa dress paired with a white blazer and white strappy sandals. Fitted and with pretty feminine details – from the sweetheart neckline on the bodice down to the ruffled hem – it’s a gorgeous occasion dress, albeit a big investment. It comes in sizes 4 to 16, but it’s already sold out in some sizes. The brand advises that customers have said it runs large so suggests going down a size.
For something a little more affordable with its own pretty details, we like Next’s midi with a puff hem and cresent cutout on the back. This one is available in up to size 20 and also in tall and petite lengths.
French Connection also has an elegant option in the Serenity Dale midi. With its straps that tie at the shoulder, sweetheart neckline and A-line skirt, it has a vintage feel and is ideal if you prefer a swishier skirt to something more fitted. It’s currently in stock in all sizes: 6 to 18.
For anyone who prefers a slightly less formal take on the blue and white floral dress, there’s Bonprix’s floral print midi. With its more vibrant blue print and slim straps that tie at the shoulder, it would be ideal for a holiday frock.
Or Gini London has a glamorous strappy maxi, which is great for anyone looking for something a bit more figure-hugging like the Reformation dress. We wish it had a bigger size range, though (it comes in 8-16).
Laura Tobin’s chose the Reign midi from Nobody’s Child. With a larger floral print than others on the list, it’s a sophisticated take on the colour combination. The boat neckline is elegant – and ideal for anyone who prefers more coverage – but the cross detail at the back stops it feeling too demure.
Gap also has a pretty frock with a higher neckline and a larger-scale print. Its halterneck maxi dress is made from breezy cotton with a skirt that skims the body, and would lovely for a summer wedding.
