Duchess Sophie’s Monica Vinader earrings given green gemstone update | Royal | News

British jewellery brand Monica Vinader are a favourite for the royals, with Kate Middleton and Sophie Wessex both seen sporting accessories from the designer. Most notabley, the Princess of Wales favours the Siren Wire Earrings in 18k gold vermeil and green onyx, pairing them with various outfits over the years.
Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, gave us a glimpse of her Monica Vinader earrings while visiting the Royal Yachting Association. Her exact Siren Stud Earrings feature an amazonite gemstone – this style is currently sold-out, but shoppers can get the green onyx version instead.
Priced at £100, they are very similar to Kate’s earrings, in a stud style that is ideal for everyday wear. Other options include 18k gold vermeil and moonstone and 18k rose gold and rose quartz.
The Monica Vinader Siren Stud earrings, that you can also shop at Selfridges, have been described as ‘gorgeous’ by those who have bought them. They are also said to be ‘very comfortable to wear’ and ‘good for office and evening’.
Shoppers say they would make a lovely gift. One person shared: “Bought these earrings for my wife’s 40th Birthday. They are very stylish and modern. Lovely deep green onyx and bright yellow gold colour go fantastically together. A perfect addition to any ladies jewellery box!”
However, not everyone was entirely pleased with them and someone explained that although they are ‘cute’, they are ‘rather small’.
