Arcade Fire Performs ‘Pink Elephant,’ ‘Year Of The Snake’

The indie band returns to SNL to promote their seventh studio album, Pink Elephant, which came out Friday
Indie rock band Arcade Fire made their sixth appearance on Saturday Night Live, performing songs from their newest studio album, Pink Elephant, which was released Friday.
The Canadian quintet opened with the title track, the second of the album’s ten songs.
Pink Elephant, Arcade Fire’s seventh studio album and their first since 2022’s We, was recorded at Good News Recording Studio in New Orleans, which belongs to married bandmates Win Butler and Régine Chassagne.
The album’s lead single is “Year of the Snake,” which the group performed later.
Arcade Fire hasn’t yet announced a tour in support of their latest album. Their next scheduled show is Wednesday at London’s Royal Albert Hall, which comes on the heels of dates in Canada and along the U.S. east coast.
The band last appeared on SNL three years ago for what was also that season’s Mother’s Day episode. They did, however, perform at the late night show’s 50th anniversary homecoming concert in February, joining David Byrne and St. Vincent for a rendition of David Bowie’s “Heroes.”
