Ali Fedotowsky and her husband, Kevin Manno, are opening up about his ongoing cancer battle.
“The crazy thing is he had absolutely ZERO symptoms and his blood work came back perfect,” Fedotowsky, 40, wrote via Instagram on Wednesday, January 29, referring to her husband’s health before his diagnosis. “So we thought it was important to share his story. … We can’t stress enough, how important it is to have a doctor [who] pays attention to your charts, and of course, paying attention to your own charts and follow-ups! Which we didn’t. Thank goodness our doctor did.”
The former Bachelorette and Manno, 41, confirmed earlier this month that he was recently diagnosed with papillary thyroid cancer, calling it “very treatable.”
“Kevin had no symptoms [and] still has no symptoms,” Fedotowsky said in her Wednesday update. “[He] feels so healthy, best shape of your life. I mean, your bloodwork at every annual [check-up] has come back absolutely perfect. No lumps and bumps in his throat, like, his thyroid has been felt.”
According to Manno, he and Fedotowsky also each underwent a Prenuvo full-body MRI scan “a little over a year ago.”
“We both, for the most part, got clean bills of health,” Manno said. “They did detect two spots on my thyroid and then my primary care doctor was like, ‘OK, that’s something. We’ll take another look at it in a year and see what’s going on.’”
Manno, at his doctor’s request, recently underwent an ultrasound and a biopsy that confirmed the presence of cancer.

“Not only had it doubled in size in the year, but then the biopsy showed that it was cancerous,” Manno recalled. “My overall feeling is just, like, gratitude and I feel so thankful that we caught this when we did. Early detection is, sort of, the message that we want to spread now.”
Fedotowsky also credits the Prenuvo scan with saving Manno’s life.
“I feel like this is such a blessing in a way,” Fedotowsky concluded. “It has given us a new outlook on life and it makes us more appreciative for every single day and we can handle this and take care of this. You’re going to be around forever.”
Manno is scheduled to undergo a surgical procedure to remove the cancerous tissue.
“The prognosis is very good,” he said in a Sunday, January 26, social media video. “It looks good. It’s going to be something I can go in February 10th [and have a] surgery. We’re going to knock it out and it’ll be behind us.”
Fedotowsky and Manno have been married since 2017 and share two children: Molly, 8, and Riley, 6.
