M&S shoppers get six skincare products for £5 each

When it comes to skincare products that claim to give us a youthful glow and diminished wrinkles, more often than not, they come with a relatively hefty price tag, given their quality and results. But Marks and Spencer is currently running a promotion in which shoppers can get an Estée Lauder anti-wrinkle cream for just £5 in its new Skincare Gift Bag.
Costing £30, the beauty haul – which comes neatly compiled in a silver and pink bag – contains six skincare products from much-loved and renowned beauty brands, making each product essentially £5.
Claiming to save shoppers 60% on full-priced items inside, the bag contains all the necessary steps for a simple yet effective skincare routine and features names like Emma Hardie, Weleda, Clinique, Origins, Formula and, of course, Estée Lauder.
Perhaps the biggest saving inside the pack is the Estée Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair Supercharged Eye Cream, which even at a travel sized 5ml tub would cost £20 on its own.
Formulated to minimise the look of puffiness, fine lines and dark circles, this cream is made with a potent blend of hyaluronic acid, vitamin E, caffeine and patented Tripeptide-32 complex. These components work together to hydrate the skin ‘for up to 100 hours’, leaving it plumped and moisturised, which in term helps smooth out textural irregularities and crow’s feet.
For use in the morning and evening, the eye cream has received some high praise from beauty fans, who have said: “I have been using this eye cream for a while now and I love it. My eyes are less puffy, no dark circles and less lines. Love it and you only need a small amount of it.”
Someone else noted: “Noticed results within a few days. Definite brightening of the under eye area, some skin tightening with dark circles seeming reduced. The eye area felt refreshed.”
One Marks and Spencer shopper shared how they bought the collection purely for the eye cream and raved: “Bought this to try the eye cream and thought it was a good deal for trying the other bits too. I was not disappointed. I have previously got the summer bags, which are always great value, so thought I would try one of these this time. And the bag it comes in is lush too!”
With the bag including mostly travel-sized items, this collection is ideal for those needing top ups of their go-to skincare products for holiday, as one M&S shopper noted in a five-star review, which read: “I think it was very good value. The products are good quality and are handy for holidays.”
While one person found that the products inside were smaller than they anticipated, leading to a three-star review, they weren’t too disheartened and said: “Items were quite a bit smaller than expected, but maybe my expectations were too high. Having said that, it is a nice collection of products and good to try out before buying the full size version.”
Shoppers willing to spend a little more money on skincare edits, the industry has a range of options that offer full sized products in amongst deluxe sizes – such as the Boots New & Trending Beauty Box, £55, which contains 17 goodies, 14 of which are full-size.
Meanwhile, LookFantastic’s The Dermatological Edit is worth over £168 and costs £45. With names inside including Medik8, Heliocare, Avene and more, it contains three full and three travel-sized products.
