Watch Offset Return to the Stage for the First Time After Being Shot

The rapper sustained non-life-threatening injuries during an incident outside of Florida’s Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood last week
Offset appeared on stage on Saturday at the University of Arkansas’s Rowfest, marking his first performance since being shot last week.
The Migos rapper shared a video of himself being rolled onstage in a wheelchair before standing up triumphantly in front of the cheering audience. “REAL LOVE,” Offset captioned the video. He later shared a second post on Instagram with a photograph of himself that read, “God is Good Thank you.”
Offset was released from the hospital only 48 hours before the performance. The rapper was shot outside Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood in Florida, on April 6 following an altercation. He sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The 34-year-old, born Kiari Cephus, made his first personal statement on Friday, thanking fans for their well-wishes and support. “I’m good…. but I’m planning to be better,” Offset said in a handwritten letter posted on Instagram. “I’m focused on my family, my recovery, and getting back to the music. Realizing that life is made up of quiet wins and loud losses… Life’s a gamble and I’m still playing to win.”
Local police have not formally charged anyone with the shooting. However, fellow rapper Lil Tjay, born Tione Jayden Merritt, was arrested on Tuesday in connection to the incident. The 24-year-old was detained at the scene and charged with disorderly conduct. Merritt was released from custody that same day, according to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office.
“Merritt was booked into the Broward County Jail late last night,” the Seminole Police Department said in a statement. “A second person detained at the scene has not been charged. The investigation to identify one or more additional persons involved in the incident is ongoing.”
