The streaming landscape is more confusing than ever, with dozens of services and some content that’s still only available from traditional cable TV channels. But one streaming service that’s worth checking out is Philo, which delivers both live and on-demand content at a very affordable price.

Philo previously offered only one plan, but recently it expanded its lineup to two packages for streamers with different budgets.

The more affordable Philo plan is Essential, which costs $25 a month. This package delivers more than 70 live TV channels, over 75,000 on-demand titles, and unlimited DVR (for your first year). Popular channels include A&E, BET, MTV, Discovery, HGTV, History, TLC, and Nickelodeon, which makes the service great for reality TV and other entertainment channels. If you’re looking for local channels or sports networks, consider another service like DirecTV or Fubo.

Philo’s upgraded plan is Bundle+, which costs $33 a month. The Bundle+ package includes everything in Essential (live channels, on-demand content, and DVR), plus HBO Max Basic with Ads, Discovery+, and AMC+. Those three streaming services cost $24 a month, if you sign up separately, making it a very good deal.
