4 Movies Leaving HBO Max in December 2025 You Have to Watch Right Now

Before he directed The Batman, Matt Reeves helmed Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, the second film in the rebooted franchise. This is an incredibly well-made sci-fi story, and Reeves gives the story an epic quality. Caesar (Andy Serkis) may have been raised among humans, but the leader of the apes has learned to be wary of humanity since the events of Rise of the Planet of the Apes.
There aren’t as many people as there used to be, but this planet isn’t big enough for apes and humans alike. At least, that’s what it seemed like until Caesar met and bonded with Malcolm (Jason Clarke) and his family. That gives them hope for peace. However, hatred on both sides may send apes and humans alike into a devastating war for the future.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is streaming on HBO Max until December 2.
