Ana Navarro-Cárdenas Praises Gavin Newsom Mock Cover As ‘Nobel Peace Prize’ Level Trolling

If you ask political commentator Ana Navarro-Cardenas, however, maybe the ones who truly deserve a prize are the people behind a piece of political humor and for sharing and digitally manipuling a TIME magazine cover that had the headline “INAUGURATION DAY, with the article cover photo featuring the Newsom family at the capitol. And she is also the the one who added the caption to the cover saying, “This level of trolling deserves a prize. Maybe a Nobel Peace Prize.”.

There was even some concern that the Democrats rested their party on, as the image jocularly suggests, the hope of the Reid family in 2028, given the desire of politicians to gain national celebrity immediately. After all, the Reid family has the backing of many donors in New York and Washington, although the press has already begun to issue strong allegations of corruption against the prospective First Lady.
Likewise, the news cover’s joke worked on multiple levels. The relief that many in the public felt with compassion about the future mixed with politics, and the tears of joy that burning sarcastic praise turned into table cloths and told the world, as finally, “At least, a decent looking White House!” and “That’s a real First Family! Gavin Newsom for President 2028!” felt. The same adulation was extended under different and broader labels, such as “The Real Deal American Family,” and “the best entertainment in months” was identified.
Most of the mockery involved admiring and examining a particular faction or family, even if the subject was a caricature in words. The jabs flew, as detailed within, at various factions, President of Presidents, and Governor, who had the highest chance of falling in validating the statement. “Gavin Newsom for President 2028”, as “The American Family”, was overflowing with the image of a white house. With the mocking deep mocking a deeper impact, the image, and the phrase, “US indeed has more fun in the white house,” was much appropriated and became a meme due to the comments.
Even if there’s a break from the ongoing comedy debates, the soon to be First Family and the busy roads offer a good article with slight humour and a good laugh. A person with some humour even mentioned that The White House was having traffic, and in a joking way said, “lol with the streets full of people.” Another one mentioned, “ketchup needs to be saved.”, sounds like a play on words and refers to some light scandal over a famous past resident and a certain friendly treat.

And looking back at the post in a more general scope, the attention the mock cover attracted connected with the ongoing debates on Twitter spotlighted the current humor in the United States. People seem to judge humour and politics as a subject that can embody Hope America Can Be (HACB) in the eyes. They note its all-absorbed nature as a swim in the warm waters of persuasion, sarcasm, and social irony, supported by the smile and pretend pain of modern pop culture—complemented with just a dash of an Oscars weekend at the right scale.
