Eladio Carrión Surprises Fans With ‘Lost Files’ Music, Website

If there’s one thing Eladio Carrión loves to do, it’s surprise his fans with new content and music. On Saturday, the Puerto Rican musician shared the link to his “Lost Files,” a website that features unreleased songs, videos, and clips from the last few years.
During a visit to Rolling Stone‘s office this week, Carrión says that the project came after he began digging through his archive and seeing all the music he’d accumulated over the years. “I hate just sitting on music, you know? And even with a project like this, I’m sitting on so much, so I just wanted to give as much as possible to fans and let them enjoy things maybe they’d only heard little snippets of. It’s also going to give them a nostalgic feeling because they’ll be able to download the songs and it’ll be like loading LimeWire and getting the files, so it’s all a nod back.”
Among the unreleased things on his website are songs like “Chance” feat. Midnight, “SBF6,” and”Invencible,” along with BTS footage of Carrión and Bad Bunny recording their collab, “Thunder and Lightning.” The site also includes images from the maing of his last few albums.
The surprise comes just four months after Carrion released DON KBRNI, his 22-track album that included collaborations with Quevedo on “Romeo y Julieta,” Big Sean on “Branzino,” and Jessie Reyez on “Call My Line.”
The new release comes just several weeks before Carrión is set to head on his DON KBRN World Tour. He’ll kick off the run in Charlotte, before stopping in cities like Boston, Chicago, Orlando, New York, and Los Angeles through the end of September. He’ll then head to Central and South America for a run in October.
The star also joined Bad Bunny at his PR residency, No Me Quiero Ir de Aquí, two weeks ago: “It’s an honor to see you inspiring and representing as you do,” Carrión wrote on IG after hitting the stage.
This is far from the first time the reggaetonero has done a surprise release. Last year, he delivered fans Porque Puedo, or Because I Can, just before headlining three nights at El Choli in his native Puerto Rico. “As I was home spending time with my family, I started to work on music. It all turned into Porque Puedo, and I thought what perfect timing to give this to my true fans as they get ready to see me at El Choli,” he said at the time.
