Jodie Sweetin Teases Comedy Pageant With Boozy And Booze-Free Drinks

Jodie Sweetin is back to creating laughter (and cocktails) in L.A. this weekend. A Full House alumnus, she gave a cheeky promo advertorial for her sponsor, Hyde2O. The show starts at Bespoke LA, where three comedians will battle, and the audience gets to crown the winner on Saturday, June 21.

The video shows her sipping intently from a can of Hyde2O sour cherry 0% alcohol, listing alibis of the brand booze’s zero-proof options from sour cherry (0% alcohol) to dry gin (35% alcohol). She praises the venue for “keeping the good drinks flowing” and continues hyping the event up: “If you show up, then you get to pick the winner,” she smiled, awkwardly stumbling over “Smoke Show Superstar,” which ended in an adorable blooper.
The comments flooded by followers with lots of love, one saying, “IM BUYING ANYTHING JODI SUPPORTS.” Another follower sent kisses from Brazil, while another reminisced about Jodie’s Full House days. Not all were nice, though. One ig shot a roast at the lash extensions: “Your eyebrows look like literal pieces of sh!t on ur face. And I woke up late to bash you about them.”
The strangeness began when someone looked into the abyss and asked, “Was Bob Saget a weirdo?” obviously aiming at Sweetin’s late TV dad. An appalling statement denounced her existence in the most graphic manner imaginable. The most deranged were those comments hailing the memory of Sweetin’s famous Jackass move, wherein she kissed the pavement post a failed skate trick: “How’s life after kissing the pavement jackass??” Others vehemently defended the actress.
Right then, the Hyde2O marketing team popped in to capitalize on their sponsorship: “Get ready to sip some Hive₂O & laugh all night!” with bee and microphone emojis. The brand is all that one could ask for for a comedy show crowd made of some hardcore party animals and some tiny-bit responsible designated drivers as sparkling waters, with both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options.
Sweetin’s comedy creation, regularly hosted at Bespoke LA, has become a venue for burgeoning comedic talent. The interactiveness makes the audience savvy in voting, which makes every show just a teensy bit different from another with audience reactions comprising the major part. Big drinks, big laughs, and big Mess-Off await all by the end of the weekend.
Tickets can be purchased off Sweetin’s Eventbrite for any unfortunate souls willing to participate in this madness.

The actress keeps weaving answers from commercial life back into actual staged acting with her names getting onscreen recently; Puppy Love and Merry Swissmas. But her heart lies on building spaces for off-the-grip live comedy staged with trademark Sweetin edge and an occasional crazy viral Instagram cutaway scene. Whatever your side, Boozy or Zero-Proof, this weekend’s show will keep you hydrated and laughing all around. Oh, and maybe don’t enter the comment section next time.
