Dryrobe alternative reduced to £49.99 on Amazon

For swimmers and beachgoers in the UK, having something warm to put on when getting out of the sea or lido is a must, which is why the Dryrobe Changing Robe is so popular. The premium product comes with a hefty price tag, though, costing £165. Alternatively, Regatta has a version that is currently £60 in a half-price deal.
However, Amazon has a much more affordable option. The Freespirit Aquarobe Pro Jacket is £49.99, reduced from £100. We think it’s great for people after a changing robe to use now and again, but don’t want to splurge too much.
It’s designed to warm you up quickly and efficiently when you get out of the water, with deep-pile fleece inside and water-repellent fabric on the outside—so it would also keep you dry in sudden downpours. For keeping warm, there are Velcro tabs on the cuffs to keep in the heat and block out wind. As it’s designed to be oversized, it only comes in two sizes—small to medium and large to extra-large.
If you’ve got seaside plans for one of the upcoming bank holidays or want to prepare for the summer, it’s a great time to buy one, especially as the price may rise again as the weather gets warmer.
While many use the robes to dry off and warm up, they’re also great for getting changed discreetly on the beach, especially if there’s no sign of a toilet or changing room.
The Amazon jacket has a high 4.7-star rating, with many buying it recently in anticipation of the spring and summer months. One shopper said: ”Great value. Fully waterproof and warm. [I’m] 5ft 11ins, slim build, and [got a] small/medium, [which is] a good generous fit. Would certainly buy again.” [SIC]
Another shopper gave an honest review, commenting: ”Lightweight, not the most flattering attire, however it’s ultimately a functional coat and has plenty of room to change in private after water sports, etc.”
Another shopper was very complimentary, adding: “I saw the Dryrobe [at the beach in the] summer as people were using them as changing robes and to keep warm after swimming, this robe is just as good but at half the price, bought two more as Christmas pressies for my sons. Great for weekends away on cold days and walking the dogs.” [SIC]
