Some sizes, however, are currently sold out, with M&S labelling the garment as ‘in demand’, so shoppers will want to act fast if they wish to add it to their wardrobe. Priced at £49.50, the black dress has large flowers in neutral colours scattered all over it. Marks and Spencer’s Crepe Floral Tie Neck Midaxi Waisted Dress would look stunning worn casually with sandals or trainers, or paired with wedges for an evening occasion. As it is new, only a handful of shoppers have reviewed it to date, with them all awarding it an impressive five-star rating.

One delighted buyer said: “My little black number. Beautiful retro style, colour and fabric. Suitable for any occasion. Light and non-creasable for packing.”

“Excellent quality,” wrote a second happy customer. “Great dress. So easy to wear and really comfortable. No buttons or zips is a bonus. What’s not to like?”
