‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Season 2 Trailer: A Swinger Returns

The second season for The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is just around the corner. The unscripted Hulu series, which delves into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS), motherhood, relationships, and a swinging sex scandal, returns with 10 episodes on May 15, the streamer announced Monday.
Before the success of the Hulu series, the Mormon wives and mothers first captured TikTok audiences as part of a Utah content house, where they filmed dancing, beauty, and other trending videos. MomTok, which refers to the Mormon influencers, made headlines in 2022 when Taylor Frankie Paul shared on TikTok that she and her then-husband Tate Paul were getting a divorce. The former couple had also participated in “soft swinging” or switching partners with other Mormon couples.
The next season arrives on the heels of the swinging sex scandal in Season One. In the 10-episode follow-up, an original swinger makes a surprise return, and lies, secrets, and allegations threaten to crumble friendships. The Mormon momfluencers returning for Season Two include Paul, Demi Engemann, Jennifer Affleck, Jessi Ngatikaura, Layla Taylor, Mayci Neeley, Mikayla Matthews, and Whitney Leavitt.
Season One, which premiered Sept. 6, begins months after the scandal erupted. The other women who participate in the series have denied any involvement with the swinging community. Members of the Mormon church have criticized the series, but Ngatikaura countered that the show aims to uplift.
“People are sensitive when it comes to their religion, which I understand,” Ngatikaura told The Salt Lake Tribune. “I completely understand the backlash. But I think the show is about all of us sharing these journeys, and I hope we can be responsive to that.”
