Harlem-based fashion icon and designer Dapper Dan is partnering with Gap for another Dap Gap hoodie collection. With two previous drops successfully under his belt — one sold out in just five minutes — Dapper Dan is reuniting with the iconic American retailer to deliver another round of cozy-season essentials, just in time for the holidays.

This latest collection from Dapper Dan, the figure responsible for starting the logomania revolution, is a stylish, classic take on Gap’s arch-logo hoodie, which was especially prominent throughout the ’90s and early aughts. Once again replacing the GAP logo with DAP, the collection features bold colors and prints, such as houndstooth in camel and preppy-inspired plaid with drawcords to match. The fleece hoodie features Gap’s standard kanga pocket and banded cuffs, as well as a reimagined DAP logo, adorned in gold lettering. While the new installation conveys a holiday-esque sensibility, the designs are an effervescent reflection of Dan’s deep New York roots, with “Harlem” embroidered in cursive gold, bringing new elan to the nostalgic hoodie.

Remaining true to Dapper Dan’s community-oriented purpose, the partnership is also launching the “Gap House Session” series with the nonprofit youth and social-justice organization Brotherhood Sister Sol (“BroSis”). Dan will lead a discussion with local Harlem youth, and there will also be special performances from the Peace Poets. According to Gap, the company plans to donate $100,000 to BroSis to fund additional programming.

Retailing at $128, the new and improved DAP hoodies will be available to buy in person at the Gap 125th Street store in Harlem on Nov. 29, where the trailblazing designer will meet fans and sign hoodies. The in-store drop will be followed by a global launch exclusively on Gap on Nov. 30 at 12 p.m. ET. In the meantime, keep scrolling for campaign snapshots.
